ranked from most to least favorite:
father figure (phlur): like phlur's strawberry letter, this one is shockingly dimensional and long-lasting for such a fruity frag. i'm not getting 'father,' but it does remind me of being a child and wishing i'd be kidnapped by nature spirits.
replica beach walk (maison margiela): a warm fuzzy naviglio. doesn't strike me as a beach walk, but something more akin to getting back to your hotel room after the beach, showering off the tanning lotion, and throwing yourself into freshly-laundered sheets.
desert dawn (byredo): sandalwood bomb with the same pickle juice note i don't like in santal 33, but at least it dries down quickly and reveals sugary carrot seeds. i think my skin is determined to turn half of all frags into candy and the other half into ancient grave dust.
white rice (d'annam): pretty, but a bit smothering, like a fancy silk pillow too big for your bed. i'm gonna stick with dirty rice.
ilio EdT (diptyque): despite historically not getting along with diptyque, i saw the prickly pear note here and wanted to give them another shot. after two seconds of pleasant tartness, all that remains is a trace of citrus on an expansive bed of...yep, ancient grave dust.
